Steps for ICICI B2 account ECS mandate setup

Posted by By Jimmy Wolfee April 27, 2012No Comments

Many people had emailed me for this particular question that how they should set up the ECS mandate for their ICICI B2 bank account, so that they can transfer money from their other bank account at scheduled time and without incurring extra charges as is the case with NEFT transfer.

Here i am listing all the steps necessary for setting the ECS mandate:-

  1. Login into your ICICI B2 bank account
  2. Select the option “Register and move money into your account”. This is usually present on the left side of the screen.
  3. After selecting the above option, a new web page will open. On this webpage click on “Register accounts” under the “Move money from other bank account”.
  4. After clicking it will prompt you to fill in the basic details of your other bank account like account number and branch name (required for MICR code though this is automatically generated).
  5. After filling this basic form you will get an option to print to the full fledge ECS mandate form but this is normally not necessary to print out the form because the person who is going to collect the documents from you will also have one copy of the same form.
  6. Usually a person (bank representative) will come to your address after confirming the time with you on a telephonic conversation. In case if no one contact you from the bank than i will suggest you to call the customer care centre.
  7. It will approximately take 21 days for successfully registering the mandate but there might occur a situation in which mandate is not is set up even in a period of one month, if this is the case than contact the customer care representative immediately and explain the whole situation. After that a representative from bank will contact you and assures that your ECS mandate will setup in few days (my experience).

If you have any question regarding the please contact the author by filling this form.
