Through UB7.NET i am going to write a review on SSGPURC or Swami Sarvanand Giri Punjab University Regional Centre .
I know many of you will have doubt whether regional centre of PU is good or not . Than my answer would be a complete no.
- For all of you who are getting 50k rank and plus in AIEEE , it will be quite difficult get seat for good branches in CCET,UIET and PEC. Now the only option is SSGPURC but i will suggest a PTU college than this fake institution.
- Why i am telling you to stay away from SSGPURC is because i had gone through all this hassle before.
- My rank in AIEEE is around 50K and in 2nd counselling i got a seat in ECE in SSGPURC. OH god i was so excited that i had actually got the jackpot but…………..
- On reaching Hoshiarpur me and my friends take a round of the college and inquired about some important info.
- On reception we came to know that we will not be offered room in HOSTEL because there is no room available for first semester students. As far as HOSTEL infrastructure is concerned it is one of the worst. After inquiring more on this issue one of their teacher told us that they have made arrangement for us in 1930 made DAV college hostel!!!!!!!!!!!
- Ok after hours of work we manage to find PG over there.
- First day is so boooring. Any way teachers are also not so experienced.They are mostly from Chandigarh and are always in hurry to go to their home town 🙂
- Canteen Oh man don’t ask me about canteen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although my review is not in much detail but still gives you a much broader idea that what is SSGPURC is?

Hostel for 200 boys is under construction. Presently student have to depend on PG around the college.

IPU is good only if you got a good rank in cet.
Some of the IPU colleges are good like
USIT
MAIT etc.
At 80k you can easily get CGC Mohali and Chitkara Rajpura. These both colleges are very good and are near to Chandigarh with good hostel facilities. Their placement record are also strong.
You can try for Haryana colleges too.
My AIEEE rank is 159000. Plz suggest me somr good colleges according to my RANK. In all over India

You can fill form of Punjab CET and get your luck tested for colleges near Chandigarh. They are definitely best as far as placements are concerned.
You can also try for Harayana colleges
Try Jaypee Hyderabad too

gne Ludhiana will be slightly difficult but you can get daviet easily

Well truly speaking i will not recommend any of them. People think that gndu regional campus will be as good as its main campus but it is not so.
You can try for some private college near Chandigarh with good placement records and facilities.
But if these are the only options than go for SSGPURC Hoshiarpur
go for ssgpurc than!!!

Daviet is a old and respectable institute whereas ssgpurc is small cramped which is manly popular due to pu but as you know it’s just a name and nothing more

As far as i can remember at 43k rank you can get civil in ccet easily but that was years back. As per present scenario, it may be difficult to get civil in ccet. My suggestion is to wait for more counselings, may be you can earn a seat in ccet.
Never ever go for these private universities like LPU, Amity and Sharda. I have personally called UGC and AICTE office to verify the status of these universities and to my surprise Amity does not even have proper AICTE affiliation and also there environment is not good.
CEC Landran is good college among most of the colleges of PTU. It is not like these private universities. It do have proper AICTE and NBA accreditation worth proper placement records. So my suggestion is to wait for pu counseling to end as you can easily apply for management quota seats at a later time also.

SSGPURC is a good college please review your stats man…Almost everyone from 2012 batch is placed now…

I have passed out from SSGPURC 1st batch (2010) and was placed in Nucleus software and HCL through campus…though the college at first appears shabby and less commercialised than other private colleges but the Panjab University tag will definitely help you throughout ur life…also this college teaches you the most important thing for success in life – adaptability.
We used to study without electricity as there were cuts as long as 18 hours in a day and these things make you ponder to the other side of life…………they make a perfect man out of you.
So my serious opinion would be to remain composed and take admission if you have that courage to struggle and succeed..otherwise do take admission in some other college feeding you everything on a golden spoon…

my rank in aieee 2012 is expected to be around 85000-92000 can i get seat in ssgpurc is it a govt college if its conditions are worse what about it line

 Previous year cutoff shows that you have a very healthy chance of getting CSE this year also. See the previous year cutoff here

I studied in this college earlier(1st batch) this is way better than PTU’s colleges definetly better thann CGC or Chitkara or DAVIET.Faculty was very frieendly plus very supportive plus PU syllabus and degree is way better than that of PTU which help you to gain basic knowledge of ur stream.So i suggest go for it and do not consider PTU college if u do so you are losing a best option.

I need to give information regarding placements which i got from my juniors.They are placed(around 85pc) in TechM,Infosys,TCS ,Wipro Infotech,Infogain.The average salary is around 3 .

For infrastructure you can visit the college it improved alot.Dont trust anybody’s deceptive stories.

If your rank is below 1 lakh than there is full probability that you will get the seat CSE branch

But what i have heard is that most of the faculty is from chandigarh and most of them remains in hurry to reach their home town by the end of the week because of the lack of facilities in Hoshiarpur.

The original author of the article is a good friend of mine and he actually told me the entire details of the college 3 years back from now. It is not fake. Its just his views.
Now it is possible that those issues were addressed.
If you thinks it to be a good college than please post some more details about it. For eg.
1. many prospective students are asking about new faculty over there. Can you please explain in brief how is the standard of the teachers now teaching at SSGPURC?
2. Are those teachers still in hurry to go back to their home town that is chandigarh
3. Is the hostel in good condition or are they still forcing new students to PG?
4. What about labs? At that time they were nearly non existent. Are they good now?
5. What about canteen? Is it the same or upgraded?
6. How about discipline in the classroom? At that it is one of the major problem as according to my friend.
7. What is the latest cutoffs for different branches?
8. There is also a rumor that some teachers come from UIET on some sessions? Is this true.
9. How are the standards compare to uiet?
10 Do they still have the bus facility for the Chandigarh students?
11. If you are a senior student of 7th semester than can you tell us all hows the placements going on? Which companies are visiting the campus? Whats the average package offered?
If you answer these questions than it will be lot of help to future students and help them to clear their doubts. I will also update this article with your views.

You can check this site for previous year cut off. At this you will get in that college easily.
At this rank you will get some branches even in UIET and CCET.
What branches you want? Do you have any plan?
SSPURC has a dedicated hostel for girls so no worry on that point. But the Hoshiarpur as a whole is not a very good city. The college is located in a village. if you are from chandigarh than you will miss many facilities.
Try in uiet and ccet. they are good and you can get admission in these colleges too.

what is PG fees for one month?
 No experience with Rajasthan colleges
but hoshiarpur is not a good place to enjoy the college life with friends. The city is small with very less facilities as compared to Jaipur.
There are many new PG which are getting setup every year becasue it acts as a business to the local people. At my time 3 years finding a PG is one helluva of a job but now a days you can find PG there much easily. Cost varies from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000 per month depending on the facilities.
my rank is air-112448 and last year cutt off of ssgpurc in CSE branch is above 109000
and my state rank is 1400+ (chandigarh) will i get cse??
because my frnds saying that this time very few students have scored good in aieee
in fact tricity ranks have came down in terms of last year

PG is around 2 km from Main campus
Cost 3000-3500 per month + one time 2500 rs security deposit. This is the PG which i ad opted for.
what kind of facilities are available in pg… does that rent includes food also….. n thx for the information bro…
I got admission in Jaypee college popularly known as JUIT Wakanaghat, Solan. What should I do? Â Take admission in Ssgpurc or Jaypee Solan. Can any body advise me. Abhinav what are your views?Â
 I will suggest you to go with JUIT.
JUIT’s infrastructure is far superior to SSGPURC.
The only negative point if JUIT is that it is located in a very isolated place. Though we cannot deny the fact that ssgpurc is also located in a isolated place but it is still near the main Hoshiarpur city.
BTW which branch are u getting in JUIT//

even ssgpurc information technology branch in second counselling closes at nearly 34000, and you are saying ssgpurc worst college
 It is a old review. Some are saying that the college has improved to a great extent. You can go for it if you want.

DONT GO for this collge I left this in MID semester and decided to go for AIEEE repeat dont got for this college

what the hell did you write about ssgpurc if you don’t even know about it your wordings are too offensive and it seems you got real trouble about it its my reply to your comments as per your comments ion same numeric order .
1. its not only 50k+ rank holders there i was in 2014 batch in my branch there were 26k rank holders and majority was 26k to 48k almost in cse dont know about mechanical and my senior’s too were there who were getting uiet chd and ccet who chose ssgpurc over it further dont compare it with PTU its far way better than that .
2. you have loosed focus it does’t mean every body does its been an individual capability to do things ssgpurcians are not spoon feeded guys for your information ssgpurcian’s are doing much better than uiet and ccet guys thing is that we don’t show off .
3. secondary your rank was 50k and even you got seat in pu and some part your mind knows it a jack pot as you mentioned but you got confused seems you have very weak psychology .
4. oh really you started being detective great you should have enjoyed your first day in blush green environment and focused on your study that thing you missed oh don’t worry you can do it now ..
5. hostel issue was there near 2008-9 but facility some how requested dav college authorities to allot hostel there for guys like you to get settle and arrange yourself accommodation you get very easy and good accommodation at max 3k that you cant have in any other city . in-spite the can clearly give you no and make struggle and wander around so be thankful to facility that they always try to help you out .
6.there are around 20 to 30 pg in localities adjacent to college and second hostel is constructed and you may visit and check quality of living there .
7. you said first day was boring ? what you expect some cheer leader’s to welcome you and lecturer to arrange karaoke for mrt. 50k rank scorer . and teachers are inexperienced ? oh my god you know the engg things before your admission and based upon your experience you judged the facility which are mostly PHD salute you as far i know only one teacher was from Chandigarh and he has been shifted to hoshiarpur as its his native place by birth
as far as your boring concern there is pool club just 200mtrs from college
8. you get easy fruit juice at gate just for 20rs and that too fresh and clean and college canteen has improved a lot may take a visit .

1. one IAS passed out from 2009-2013 batch
2. many army officers
3. engg. in navy (mech guy abhishek sharma ) passed out in 2008
4.my guys in it field are doing there best getting fastest per-motions just because we are not spoon feeded we learned to do things and our facility knows how to help and make us stand of our own .
and soon we are going to have alumni meet and we are working on to give the purcians strong industry knowledge and chance to be part of industry through alumni some passed out have their company so we will offer training programs with live projects and part time work right from college . its a govt institute doing well and we have set record in water rocket competition beating it’s you who loosed focus and blame others it not a good thing try being thank full and honest it pays in life long term .

First this review was written as an opinion and i am not forcing any one to not to join this college. At my time even a 80000 aieee rank can get cse.Not a big deal. Conditions must have approved a lot as per your long blah blah.
and to your 3rd comment that at 50000k i got PU. NO sir i didn’t get PU, i got this.
and to you comment about your friends getting fast promotions. Sir please don’t show your idiotic-ness that because you are from this college and you will get promotions easily. I am from a PTU college and i am also getting promotions easily. Promotions depend on your quality of work at the organization not your alma mater.
and last but not least addressing me as 50000K rank scorer guy indicates that you are a very arrogant person.
