Airtel to provide free data access to Facebook application on smartphones

Posted by By Rohit Khanna January 16, 2013

In the latest move to compete with other telecom operators, Indian telecom giant Airtel reveals the all new plan for its prepaid customers. As according to this new plan users will not be charged for accessing the data connection while using the Facebook application.

There is no official confirmation from the company that whether this new plan is available on each and every Facebook application on different operating systems.

This move from Airtel is definitely came as a response to the Reliance Unlimited Facebook plan which is currently retailing at Rs. 16 per month. There is also no official response from the company about the validity of this scheme. I think they first want to gauge the popularity of this new feature among its users and then will implement the paid scheme. Any way enjoy your free Facebook pack on your Airtel mobile.
