14 Indian companies applied for the new gTLD as revealed by ICANN

In total 14 Indian companied has applied for the new gTLD as revealed by ICANN today. Some of the companies have applied for more than one gTLD also, so the total new gTLD application count from India is 21. There is only a single company among the 14 which will have to face an auction process for .PING gTLD as it is applied by total of 2 companies. The other company is from USA.

ICANN will reveal the list of applied gTLDs today

ICANN, the organization responsible for maintaining domains and extensions is set to reveal the list of gTLD which were applied during the period when ICANN was accepting the applications of new gTLD. The list will be revealed today in a press conference to be held by ICANN at London.
