    As per the latest reports, state owned telecommunication giant BSNL will soon bring modern services such as Video calling and Free call transfer from mobile network to its landline network.

    In the latest interview with BSNL CMD R.K. Updahyay, he said that they are in the process of converting their all present exchanges to NGN exchanges. NGN stands for Next Generation Network. He also said that there were 37,639 exchanges in India out of which 30,008 are based on technology from C DOT. C DOT based exchanges can easily be converted to NGN exchange with least efforts but other exchanges require some work.
