At last Samsung losses out to Apple

in the latest ruling by USA court, Samsung will have to pay 1+ billion dollar damages to Apple for infringing Apple’s patent.

There is also a possibility that 8 of the Samsung phones getting banned in USA.

It is definitely a very sad moment for a consumer. This will definitely force Samsung to raise prices of their popular smartphones

One of the patent infringement is the rounded deign of the icons that Samsung uses in its smartphones. So Apple has the patent for curvy and rounded icon design also.

Of course it will force Samsung to raise the prices of their smartphones in almost every country. But there will be no appreciable effect on the contract based pricing of Samsung smartphones in USA because telecom companies over there already subsidize the price of these mobile phones to an extreme low level.
