The rumor of small charger port in the new Apple iPhone 5 can make your old iPhone accessories incompatible with the new iPhone. The new port will be just 19 pin wide instead of 30 pins as present in iPhone 4S.
According to various sources, this new move from Apple is due to the fact that they want to accommodate the port for the earphone at the bottom of the new iPhone. Some of the experts from Hong Kong are not happy with this new move from Apple. According to them iPhone is known for its stable connectivity which according to them is due to 30 pin connector and now this will not be same because of this new connector port.
Accessories which can become obsolete after this new move from Apple includes External Speaker. There is no confirmation on this new move from Logitech which is one of the world’s largest manufacturer of speaker dock for iPod and iPhone.
There go my investment on Logitech Speakers than.. 🙁
Apple is known for its compatibility of their latest accesories with old phones. But this is definitely a bad move from Apple.
