If you own one of the smartphone from the Sony Ericsson Xperia series than probably ICS will be the last update which you can experience on you mobile phone which means there will be no upgrade to Android Jelly Bean. I am not claiming this news without any proof. The proof is actually based on the answers given by the Sony customer support on their official Facebook page. To be exact the person who is giving answers to these question is Sony’s UK product manger John Cooper.
The smartphones in question were Xperia Mini Pro and Xperia Arc S. According to John, both these smartphones will not be upgraded to Jelly Bean. There is no clear cut mention about other 2011 Xperia phones but one can assume that if their leader Arc S is not getting the update to the latest Android than no other Xperia mobile stands a chance to get an upgrade.
Not only this, John also revealed that Sony is presently researching their latest Xperia lineup in order to find out the most suitable smartphones which can be upgraded to the latest version of Android that is Jelly Bean.
