As you all know that Godaddy’s previous owner Bob Parsons was facing a lot of criticism on his act of killing an Elephant and than sharing the entire shooting video on twitter with his followers. As a result many domainers decided to boycott Godaddy and started to transfer their domains our of Godaddy to other registrars.
Other registrars were also giving huge discounts to all of those who transfer their domains from Godaddy to their company.
But now as Godaddy was sold to a private equity for a massive 2.25 billion dollar recently, i think they will be able to gain their reputation back. But as per reports Bob Parsons will continue to serve as the CEO of Godaddy.
This is not the only bad point of Godaddy. Godaddy is also facing a lot of criticism for their web hosting services. The recently launched 4GH hosting by Godaddy is proved to be a marketing gimmick only. Their servers are notoriously overloaded and slow. As Godaddy is now under a completely new management, we do hope that their web hosting services will improve to much extent.
